Habitarmonia

Habitarmonia is a design and consulting studio founded by Nuria Muñoz. Nuria is on a mission to reconnect people with nature by creating living and working spaces applying the science and design practices of biophilic design.

I met up with Nuria in sunny Valencia, Spain, in November 2021. To help me understand her purpose, she told me about her story growing up in the lush landscapes of Northern Spain and her father—who was an interior designer himself—who didn’t approve of Nuria’s desire to follow in his footsteps. We spoke about her rebellious years working in the USA, about her love of travel, and about her draw to natural beauty for silence and inspiration.

It’s only after connecting the dots of someone’s past that we can get a clear picture of where someone is going. It helps to find the right language that not only represents the voice of the person but also lays the foundations for the vision of the future.

Kindness and generosity are just a few words that describe Nuria’s soul and also drive her ambition to reconnect her clients with what truly matters. Through photography and motion, we have captured that soulfulness that allows her potential customers to anticipate some of that welcoming and caring energy upon collaboration with Habitarmonia.

The mass migration to the cities has resulted in a social disconnect with the natural world. Our wellbeing is rapidly decreasing due to the daily overload of information in the shape of ads, pop-ups and all kinds of media, but also due to the increasing street noise and the worsening air and light quality in our indoor environments. On top of that, most of us get overwhelmed with the thought of decorating our home or work space.

I believe that the quality of life depends on our connection with nature. My mission is to create healthier and more engaging environments by bringing nature into our homes and workspaces.
— Nuria Muñoz, Founder of Habitarmonia

Nuria founded Habitarmonia as a consulting and design studio with the mission to educate the implementation of biophilic design practices and to design interiors for well-being.

By digging deep into my client’s personality and lifestyle, I get a picture of what is needed. This process allows me to create multi-sensory living and working spaces by applying the practices and science of biophilic design.

Nuria wants her clients to feel less stressed and happier in their homes and workspaces and more energized by the journey they take together when exploring what a harmonious habitat means to them.

Habitarmonia is a consulting and design studio that offers both B2B and B2C services:

  • As a B2B consultant, I educate interior designers about the implementation of biophilic design practices.

  • As a wellbeing interior designer, I dig deep into my client’s personality and lifestyle to get a picture of what is important. This process allows me to create multi sensory living and working spaces by applying the practices and science of biophilic design.
